Ahhh. The 70’s, and the bands from the 70’s… A lot of us young people wish they had been born at that time, and not only for the rock n’ roll which was at it’s peak.
Today we would go for a big poll to discover the opinions and likings of fellow readers here at Guitar Songs Masters. I am about to present to you a list of some of the big names that rocked planet earth between 1970-1979.
Take your time, debate with yourself, debate in the comments, listen again to some of your favorite songs… And most importantly – cast your votes in the poll at the bottom of our post.
It’s not gonna be easy, but try to pick no more than 3 choices of your absolute favorites! The poll is open to more options than that, but try to keep it down so we can get a feeling for the true favorites here that people just love.
* Some of these artists and bands enjoyed their most creative years during the 60’s. However, those of them who still continued to rock hard and make new music during the 70’s can also be found below (The Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel are a great example).
I tried to be as inclusive and diverse as I can about the most popular rock bands and artists that’ll get the most votes without over packing the article. However, if you believe that someone is missing from the list so please drop me a line at my email. Here we go:
Click the name of your favorite artists / bands to be taken to the Wikipedia page and maybe learn a few cool facts about them. I hope you will enjoy the funky 70’s vinyl cover arts as well.
